Lowkey Films’ Latest 2024 Short Brings Global Warming Center Stage

Lowkey’s Jamie Ganache teamed up with Vantage Point to produce “More Flames”, a short comedy-satire poking fun at the struggles of talking about the end of the world.

Part of Climate Spring’s Flip The Script campaign, “More Flames” stars Phoebe Dynevor as a lead actress questioning her director about the narrative they’re filming, sparking a confrontation about the story being portrayed.

Sustainability ties in with Lemonade’s ethic and belief that it is by challenging the dominant climate narrative and countering the deer in the headlights effect that we can all start envisioning a better future.

Doomsday stories lock us into a state of anguish and feed the widespread belief that there is nothing to be done about the impending apocalypse. The—undeniable—power of onscreen storytelling can reshape despair into hope and doom into possibility.

“More Flames” sheds a humorous light on the need to address the climate crisis in a more hopeful way and flip the script on the narratives that reach mainstream audiences.
